Richmond and his girlfriend were living with her sister until they got kicked out, along with their baby girl. They were living on the street in downtown Olympia when they saw the StandUp For Kids street outreach team and decided to ask for help.

Since that day, StandUp For Kids has provided the family with mentorship, apartment resources, food, and help getting a driver’s license – all to aid them in their goal to become self-sufficient.

“StandUp For Kids has given us a chance for a better life,” he said. “They have always been there when I was in need. They provided us with confidence and self-worth.”

We love hearing about our impact in cities all over the U.S. We couldn't do it without you! Donate now or learn more about how you can get involved. Read the full blog here.

We are headed to Atlanta Friday September 28th-Sunday September 30th for the StandUp For Kids national conference.

Our theme this year is Building Strong Foundations.

Program volunteers, staff, leaders, advisory council members, youth and alums, board members, donors and other supporters will all be present to inspire each other, plan together, and improve our collective abilities to help end youth homelessness in our respective communities.

Learn more about what we’ll be doing this year.

We have so many great things going on that wouldn’t be possible without our donors and volunteers. There are lots of ways you can get more involved, such as volunteering as a mentor, asking your company to sponsor, donating items, or supporting us financially.
